Our priority at Bonza is to elevate your dogs' food beyond simple nutrition.

Too often the food we provide our dogs doesn't do them justice. It is formulated to provide them with nothing but the basic nutrients their bodies need to survive - protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals.

Our aim at Bonza was to reimagine our dog's food. To look at their diets from a holistic perspective to understand how we could go beyond 'food for survival' to food that was a blend of ancient wisdom and contemporary science. To a food that offered more than just survival, to a food that provided our dogs with nutrition that offered preventative and curative support as they lived their lives. A food that supported healthy growth and ageing.

ESPEN, the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism, favours a nutritional approach to addressing clinical and metabolic disorders in humans. The disorders they espouse clinical treatment for include acute and chronic pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, Cardiovascular disease, cancer and neurology. In fact they propose a holistic approach using nutrition to tackle all health disorders.

Our dogs suffer from most if not all the same clinical and metabolic disorders we do, It is our belief that we can, and should, address these as far as possible through their diet.

Ageing is a given for both our dogs and ourselves unfortunately, however the science of geroprotection is making giant strides in identifying the causes of ageing, the majority of which stem from 'inflammaging' and identifying which nutrition interventions have the most significant impact on the ageing process.

Healthy ageing has become important for all ages, not just beyond the mid-life point.
